Robert W. Lucas brought this suit for damages to his truck as a result of the installation of an oil filter. Suit was against the retailer, Carrell's 287 Auto Truck Stop, based on strict liability in tort, and against the manufacturer, Purolator Products, Inc., based on strict liability and alternatively on negligence.
