The defendant contends that the proceedings for his commitment under G.L.c. 123A, § 6, as a sexually dangerous person, while serving a sentence for an unrelated crime, were in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States in that he was denied equal protection of the laws.
