Defendant was charged by an amended information with murder, second degree. Section 559.020.1 Specifically, the charge is that he killed George Youngblood by stabbing him in the chest with a knife during a fight in the Nite Hawk Tavern in Reeds Spring, Stone county, Missouri, Friday night, July 16, 1965. The case was submitted on voluntary manslaughter only. A jury found him guilty thereof and assessed his punishment...
