The appellant, James Leon Crumb, together with four others, was indicted in the Circuit Court for Charles County on a six count indictment charging the five men with armed robbery, attempt to commit armed robbery, assault and battery, larceny, and receiving stolen goods. He was tried separately, pleaded not guilty, and elected to be tried by the court, sitting without a jury. He was found guilty on the first count...
