Appellant Wilbanks, who was convicted of the crime of forgery on December 31, 1965, filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the Ada County District Court. The trial court, after examining the petition, determined it stated only one ground for issuance of the writ, i. e., that petitioner alleged that by reason of duress he had been induced to plead guilty to the crime for which he was punished by imprisonment.
