Forty-two separate judgments were entered against the Resolute Insurance Company on various bonds filed by it as surety under the terms of the Bituminous Coal Open Pit Mining Conservation Act (Act of May 31, 1945, P.L. 1198, as amended, 52 P.S. § 1396.4 et seq.), pursuant to a confession of judgment clause contained in the bond instrument.
