These consolidated appeals result from an automobile accident which occurred within the corporate limits of Holden, Louisiana, at approximately 8:00 A.M., October 21, 1963, when a pickup truck belonging to plaintiff, Fleet Wallace, and being operated by his wife, Sally, was struck by a 1962 Ford owned and being driven by defendant, Grady Stewart, the insured of defendant, American Home Assurance Company (American).
