The offense is Sodomy; the punishment, seven (7) years confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections.

Trial commenced before a jury on May 1, 1967, with appellant being represented by employed counsel of his own choice. After a verdict of guilty, punishment was assessed by the court at the request of the appellant.
