LARSON, Justice.

By indictment defendant was accused of carnally knowing a female by force and against her will, in violation of section 698.1 of the 1962 Code of Iowa. The defendant entered a plea of not guilty and, upon trial, the jury returned a verdict of guilty. The court entered its judgment sentencing defendant to the State Penitentiary for a term of not to exceed twenty-five years.
