This is an appeal by the plaintiff, Odra A. Davis, Jr., in a diversity action for damages from an order of the district court quashing service of process upon defendant, Casco Products Corporation (Casco).

The complaint alleges that Casco negligently manufactured a heating pad, not safe for its intended use, which was marketed in Alabama and which caused plaintiff's infant son while sleeping...
