Claimant's job was not governed by a union contract but upon the merger of the corporate employer into another corporation, the employment became subject to the parent company's collective bargaining agreement under which all employees were required to join the union. Claimant signed an application for membership and later withdrew it when, according to her contention, neither the union nor her employer made an effort to explain to her the benefits...
