James Laperouse, the owner of five lots in Fontelieu Addition in the City of New Iberia, contracted with the plaintiff, Jim Walter Corporation, to have constructed upon the five lots five houses known within the building trade as "shell homes". Pursuant to the negotiations between plaintiff and Mr. Laperouse, written contracts for the construction of the houses were signed and recorded.
