This is an appeal from a conviction and sentence in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas on an indictment charging conspiracy to violate the federal anti-racketeering statute. 18 U.S.C. §§ 371, 1952. The indictment charges that commencing prior to November 13, 1961, and continuously thereafter until December 22, 1962, defendants, appellants herein,

"* * * did wilfully, knowingly, unlawfully and feloniously...
