This case arises out of an oil well casualty which occurred on or about June 26, 1961. The well, known as Waterford No. 1, was located in Bayou Couba Field in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. The plaintiffs are Aladdin Oil Company, Inc., the operator of the well, Aladdin Exploration Company, Inc., Hershey Oil Corporation and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company as subrogee for the damages it had reimbursed the plaintiffs.
