At about 12:30 P.M. on January 27, 1966 the defendants approached a 15-year-old girl while she was on her way home from school. Each grabbed and held one of her arms, threatened to harm her if she did not go with them, took her through a field and led her to a vacant room in a building where they forcibly removed her underclothing, put her on the floor, and each raped her.
