Plaintiff, after patronizing the place of business conducted by defendant Carolina Pines, attempted to leave the premises through a glass "exit" door and sustained injuries to his left arm when the glass became dislodged from the aluminum door frame. The glass and door frame manufacturers, respectively, were exonerated from liability upon the theory that neither then exercised control of its product.
