CHRISTIAN, J.

Defendant appeals from a judgment of conviction of felony, robbery in the first degree. (Pen. Code, § 211.) Appellant appeared without counsel at his arraignment in the municipal court, at the preliminary hearing, and at the ensuing jury trial in the superior court. He now contends that he did not intelligently waive his right to counsel and that the trial court's failure to procure certain material witnesses deprived him of due process of law....
