Defendant appeals as an indigent by leave of this court from a judgment of conviction for violation of probation and contempt of court after a hearing before the County Court.

On December 14, 1961 defendant was tried and convicted of desertion, nonsupport and neglect of two minor children. N.J.S. 2A:100-2. He received a six-month suspended sentence and was placed upon probation for two years...
