The plaintiff, Secretary of Labor, brought suit herein alleging that the defendant, Local 174, American Federation of Musicians, had violated various provisions of the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (29 U.S.C. § 401 et seq.). It specifically alleged that the defendant imposed unreasonable qualifications on the eligibility of members in good standing to be candidates for and hold office...
