Plaintiff's husband, William R. Long, Jr., a retired United States Air Force sergeant, was the insured in a group policy issued by defendant. The policy was in the principal sum of $15,000 and contained a double indemnity provision in case of accidental death. Plaintiff was the named beneficiary.
