The defendant, in a trial to the jury, was convicted of breaking and entering a dwelling house with intent to commit a crime therein in violation of § 53-73 of the General Statutes, and of the crime of larceny in violation of § 53-63. Thereafter he pleaded guilty to the second part of the information charging him with being a second offender under § 54-118. The defendant was represented in the trial by the public defender for the Circuit Court...
