This is an appeal from a judgment of the district court denying the petition filed by Gary Lee Wiley and Freida Mae Wiley (petitioners-appellants) for the adoption of Terry Kay Marsolf, a minor child of Carolyn Sue (Marsolf) Clayton (respondent-appellee). For convenience, the appellants will be referred to as the Wileys, and the appellee as Mrs. Marsolf.
