Ann Arden, plaintiff, brought this action against the Chicago Transit Authority to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by her when she fell while descending one of defendant's stairways leading to one of the platforms of defendant's elevated railway. She alleged generally that the fall resulted from the negligence of defendant in connection with the maintenance, operation and control of the stairway...
