On July 10, 1964, defendant's apartment in Bronx County, New York, was subjected to search by officers of the Police Department of the City of New York. The apartment was entered at 8:15 P.M. The search was concluded at 9:45 P.M., and the defendant placed under arrest. Some of the officers remained at the apartment.
