The appellant Charles D. Bryant sought by this suit to recover of the appellees, a group of insurance companies, his loss by fire of the contents of a building in which he conducted the Golden Pheasant Restaurant. The companies' principal defense (and the only one involved on this appeal) was that the appellant himself had burned the property or caused it to be burned.
