The question presented is whether a libel for damages may be brought by a longshoreman-employee directly against the employer-stevedore despite the exclusiveness of liability provision of the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.1 The district court answered this question in the negative and accordingly granted a summary judgment in favor of the employer-stevedore.2...
