John Mirallegro, defendant, has appealed from a judgment of the district court, based upon a jury verdict, convicting him for the offenses of accepting wagers and (1) failure to pay a special occupational tax and (2) failure to file a "Special Tax Return and Application for Registry-Wagering", in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7203.
