This case is the aftermath of a blowout and fire occurring in the Port Barre Oil Field, in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, on January 25, 1964 at the site of an oil well being drilled by Trahan Drilling Company and designated as the Marks No. 1 Well. Following the fire, plaintiff, Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company paid the owner of the drilling rig its appraised value of $287,662.00 and brings this suit as subrogee...
