The plaintiff, Henry Moore, suffered a straining injury to the neck when he fell from the back of a horse while herding cattle on the ranch of J. Austin Davis, the defendant's insured. The defendant insurer, after some delay, paid the plaintiff compensation benefits for a period of approximately four months. The plaintiff brought suit in the district court seeking an award of total and permanent disability and penalties and attorney's fees allegedly...
