Defendant was charged by county attorney's information with the crime of breaking and entering as defined in section 708.8 Code 1962. At defendant's request an attorney was appointed to represent him. Defendant was duly arraigned and entered a plea of guilty to the crime charged. Thirteen days later a hearing was held on defendant's application for bench parole. Five days still later defendant's application was denied and he was sentenced to an indeterminate...
