This appeal involves a judgment, based on a jury verdict, in the amount of $75,000.00, in favor of the plaintiff in an action for the wrongful death of one Clarence Whitsett. Mr. Whitsett died as the result of injuries sustained in an explosion, while he was doing some welding work on the top of a 100-barrel steel tank on an oil and gas lease that was owned and being operated by the defendants.
