Richard Green was convicted by a jury of forgery in the first degree and appeals from a judgment entered pursuant to such verdict. The forgery involved the signing of the name "James J. Jeffries" to a sales slip at Northtown Crescent Department Store in Spokane on November 13, 1965, after a man presented a "charg-a-plate" upon which was engraved the name "James J. Jeffries."
