In this appeal, there is no dispute that plaintiff was injured, or that the proximate cause of her injuries was the negligence of the person in possession and control of the premises in failing to maintain the carpeting in the hallway in a reasonably safe condition so that such person is responsible at law to the plaintiff for her injuries.
