On October 18, 1963, the plaintiff herein filed suit against the defendants, Charles Adams and his wife, Bobbie Jean Adams, on the basis of a promissory note which had been executed by those defendants in October of 1962, which note was identified with an act of chattel mortgage executed by the defendants on the same date as the note.
