In February, 1952, Mary Cooke Kincaid Sheffield filed in the court below a bill of complaint against her husband, Lawrence Browning Sheffield, Jr., praying for a divorce on the ground of desertion. Personal service was had upon the defendant husband who appeared by counsel and filed an answer.
