This is an action for damages, brought by Macon A. Davenport, plaintiff, against Guy W. Aldrich, defendant, to recover for personal injuries sustained as the result of an automobile collision. The case was tried to a jury and there was a verdict for the plaintiff in the amount of $30,000. After hearing argument on defendant's motion for a new trial on the ground that the verdict was excessive, the trial court ordered plaintiff to remit $7,500 or...
