This is an appeal from the judgment of the trial court awarding plaintiff, Jack N. Dyer, damages in the sum of $7,500 against defendant, Alvin J. Davis, for an alleged civil libel published during the political campaign in which plaintiff was a candidate for the public office of Insurance Commissioner for the State of Louisiana.
