Just about 100 years ago, Baltimore City (the City) condemned some 55 acres of land, which were located in Baltimore County and belonged to Charles A. Buchanan. A large portion thereof is now the bed of Lake Roland. The only question involved is whether the City obtained a fee simple (sometimes referred to as a fee simple absolute) estate in the land as a result of the condemnation proceeding or something less than...
