The defendant in this case was the father of two sons aged 8 and 9 years at the time of the accident involved. He had purchased and given to them at Christmas, 1960, two air guns, commonly known as BB guns, designed to propel BB shot. In the months following Christmas, defendant instructed the boys in the use and handling of the guns, allowing them to use them under supervision.
