J. SPENCER BELL, Circuit Judge:

Probationer, Scott, appeals from an order of the district court revoking his probation and committing him to the custody of the Attorney General.

On November 8th a registered letter was mailed to the petitioner giving him notice of a revocation of probation hearing to be held on November 12, 1965. The petitioner did not receive the letter because of his absence from home when the post office attempted to deliver the letter....
