The plaintiffs, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Roller, brought suit in the district court to recover damages for the death of their son in an automobile accident which occurred on September 6, 1963. The deceased, John Carlton Roller, was killed when the car in which he was riding veered out of control and struck a tree on the shoulder of Highway U. S. 90 near Sulphur, Louisiana.
