The appellant was convicted for the unlawful possession of paregoric, a narcotic drug; and his punishment was assessed at two years.

Officers Geffert and Hightower testified that about 3 P. M., October 15, they saw the appellant enter the lobby of an apartment house carrying a brown paper sack which he placed under a couch in the lobby and then run upstairs. Officer Geffert pursued and apprehended the appellant in the bathroom upstairs...
