This is a condemnation suit brought by the State of Texas against the trustees of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church of the City of Beaumont. The State sought to condemn.345 acres of land running 259 feet across the front of the church property with a depth of 58.38 feet. The trial was before a jury which found that the market value of the land taken was $10,250.00. The jury found that there was no difference between the market value of the remainder...
