Petitioner seeks review of the superior court's denial of his motion to be released on his own recognizance pending trial. Petitioner asserts that under AS 12.30.010 of the Alaska Code of Criminal Procedure, Article I, Sections 1, 11 and 12 of the Alaska Constitution, and under the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution he has, by virtue of his indigency, an absolute right to be released on his own recognizance prior to trial....
