The claimant requested a leave of absence of two weeks without revealing to her employer the reason for the request except to say that it was personal. The employer granted one week's leave. The claimant testified that it was "the understanding" that if she failed to return at the time specified she might lose her job. It now appears that the claimant wished to take care of her father-in-law, who was ill, but, during her leave, she did not request...
