This is an appeal from a judgment of the circuit court of Macoupin County which denied the petition of Carl May for a writ of habeas corpus.

In January of 1965 a grand jury in Kentucky indicted the petitioner for "carrying concealed a deadly weapon", and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 23, 1965, he was arrested in Illinois pursuant to a complaint filed...
