This is an action of assumpsit. In the two-count declaration it is alleged that the defendant, a licensed insurance broker, breached both its agreement to procure a liability insurance policy on the plaintiff's vehicles and its promise to provide coverage for those vehicles by binder. The defendant pleaded the general issue and lack of consideration. On the issues thus raised the case was tried to a jury in the superior court which returned a verdict...
