A condemnation case. The State of Texas instituted proceedings against appellant landowners to condemn for highway purposes 8.814 acres out of a tract of 44.534 acres, leaving a remainder of 35.720 acres. In response to special issues the jury returned a verdict aggregating $20,820.00, which was higher than the values testified to by witnesses for the State and lower than the values testified to by the witnesses for the landowners.
