This suit involves the validity of two amendatory ordinances enacted by the City of Tyler changing the zone classification on a 41-acre tract of land from zone R-1a Residential to C-4 Planned Commercial.

The controversy arose in this manner. Appellees, on April 14, 1965, filed an application with the City Commission requesting a change in the zone classification on the 41-acre tract of land from zone R-1a Residential to C-1 Commercial District...
