We are required to determine in this habeas corpus proceeding involving an inmate in the Missouri Penitentiary the important question of whether the principles of Douglas v. People of State of California, 372 U.S. 353, 83 S.Ct. 814, 9 L.Ed.2d 811 (1963), as read by our controlling court in Bosler v. Swenson, Warden (8th Cir.1966), 363 F.2d 154
